Good evening Crafties!
This April has been just as chaotic as the last and I don't know how I feel about that. This month, I've made really great progress on this project and the Flora Snood (I modified the pattern just a bit). It's looking like I'll finally have some time off coming up soon to work more on that video tutorial but that isn't the star of this blog post. 😅
On this day, last April, I cast on this cardigan in hopes that a finger weight knit would help me

deal with all the mayhem going on in my personal life. Fairly early into the project, I decided to make a pattern out of it to give myself an end goal beyond just having a stellar summer cardigan. 😎
I used a discontinued colorway from Hobbii for this but have since found a yarn that I think is almost an exact match for it. Plus it's from a small business so I'm super excited to recommend the fiber whenever I get to launch this pattern.
This project has seen so many highs and lows over the last 365 days and it's been amazing to power through thousands of stitches in pursuit of something that I'll be quite sentimental about going forward.
Honestly, I'd expected to be done with this by now. But as with everything else in life lately, I haven't realized that expectation and I'm learning to be okay with that. I love long-lived projects like these because they always remind me of a story to tell by the time I cast off.
I intend for this cardigan to have a kimono fit and I've mapped out the math for sizes S - 3XL. Summer's coming and who wants a tight fitting cardigan in July's heat?! I don't know when I'll post another update about this project but hopefully (knocking on wood) this will be done by July. I'd love to go out and take some pictures or something.
