I have a few things to update you all on for this month. August tends to be the busiest for me aside from June as far as preparation goes. That's because I'm preparing to head back to school.
This go around is exciting because it is the last year of my undergrad degree and it's almost bitter sweet. However, I'm choosing to stay positive and ramp up productivity as I prepare to make Infiniti Crafting Company my career.
That being said, here's some important items for this month.
The community has demanded a Back To School Sale!
I ran a YouTube poll the other week and by majority vote, y'all wanted a sale for this month, so be it!
Use code ' BTS23' at checkout for 15% off now through August 31st!
I'm going to implement this month's shop update in a different way.
The last three weeks have been filled with family and busy times so, I haven't had the time to put together my entire shop update. I've currently stocked water bottle holders and lace bookmarks but, there's nothing in the way of pottery... Bummer, right?
Wrong! I'm bringing back Vlogust for the first time in 3 years in order to reacquaint myself with my video community and introduce myself to all the new faces. I have over 31 pieces that haven't been photographed or named so my idea is to introduce one piece per day and list it in the shop toward the end of each video. Feel free to leave a comment on a video to suggest a question or topic ( I've always loved Q&A engagement)
A Shift In the Merch Store
It's no secret that I've had my merch store on TeeSpring for the last five years. In that time, it's almost embarrassing how ineffective its been. During that time, the company has changed hands and rebranded and it's caused something of a mess for the once great platform.
In yet another bid to make my business more
sustainable, I've gone about partnering with Printful, where I can integrate those listing straight into my shop on this website. In the long run, I think this shift will make it easier for others to find and support my creative work in a way that will make Infiniti Crafting Company.
These products are made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk/ in-house helps reduce overproduction. I've also found that Printful offers a wider variety of items that I can place my designs on and allows me to set a percentage for the revenue I'd like to earn.
As with most merch shops, I only earn about $5.50 per item sold, which is alright, considering they handle everything from shipping to fulfillment for me. This move is a big step for me too, because, unlike TeeSpring, Printful charges a one-time fee per new design being digitized. Over time, as enthusiasm builds for my work I believe that those fees will pay for themselves.
My thinking as of today is that I'll work to roll out the other designs that were previously in the TeeSpring store onto the website and then future designs will appear exclusively here at Infiniti Crafting Company.
