No Sleep for The Crochet Designer

Good day, Crafties!

As the year is coming to a close, I always feel compelled to design something for Christmas and/or New Years. This year I had quite the idea mapped out from last New Years on what I wanted to crochet. As the months went by and funds got so darn tight, I didn't think that I'd be able to get the materials for my design.

Thankfully, I got a birthday coupon back in November that allowed me to work those into my

budget!

I got my package on December 12th and I was SO elated! I've had this idea in my head for a sweater since I put out the Chain Link Cowl last year.

However, this year I don't think I'll be trying to finish this by the holiday. I'll release it later in January if time permits but I definitely look forward to showing off my new shiny garment.

This year, I went back to Hobbii for my supplies and I got 12 balls of their Metallico Fine yarn after being so impressed with their Metallico in 2021.

I started on the design on Tuesday, while enjoying the high of finishing other long time projects.

I'm chipping away at this initial sketch, keeping in mind to take pictures of my progress this time lol. While starting this project, I've got to admit that I underestimated the term "Fine" in the yarn's name. Nonetheless, I started out with my 4.50mm crochet hook and a dream. This fiber is also more grabby than the regular Metallico, which isn't a bad thing and I feel like in the future, it'd be a great alternative to mohair.

I'll update y'all in the coming weeks and months on this... more than likely on IG 😉.

Til then,

Happy Making!
