I'm writing today to inform you that shipping rates via USPS and Fedex have increased again. Effective Jan. 2, 2023. FedEx Express package and freight standard list rates for U.S., U.S. export, and U.S. import services, and FedEx Ground standard list rates will increase an average of 6.9%. Likewise, USPS is having talks about adjusting it's shipping rates also.
On November 10, 2022, the U.S. Postal Service™ filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) of price changes for Shipping Services to take effect January 22, 2023.
Overall, Priority Mail service prices would increase approximately 5.5 percent, Priority Mail Express® service prices would increase by 6.6 percent, and First-Class Package Service® prices would increase by 7.8 percent.
I only bring this up because this site primarily uses USPS for shipping your orders. The rates at checkout are calculated by USPS and I have no control over that. However, what I can control is the minimum shipping amount. I'll be keeping that the same, so any purchases made with a value of $125 or more will have free shipping.
There are no physical shipping fees associated with the PDF crochet/patterns I offer here on the site, Etsy, or Ko-fi, only sales tax.
Also as a reminder, new pricing for the handmade items has begun to roll out. I made mention of this in a year end blog post but, in short, the cost of everything has been hurting Infiniti Crafting Co for a long time now, prior to 2022. These price increases will allow me to continue putting out new content and keep the website afloat (which nearly did not happen this year). I want to make sure that this place remains consistent for years to come so, I'm taking those difficult measures now. I look forward to serving you all ad I greatly appreciate any continued support.
